We are thrilled to offer a unique and exciting opportunity for an experienced and passionate Residential Children’s Home Manager.
We want our children to thrive, develop new skills, enjoy different experiences, establish friendships and grow in confidence.
The home is set in its own grounds and has secure parking available. The home benefits from sensory rooms and a therapy pool. The gardens are spacious and are currently under re-development.
About the role
We are recruiting for an innovative Registered Manager to lead the home as we continue on our transformation and improvement journey. You will be experienced, dedicated, highly professional, and caring, with the passion to provide exceptional care and short break experiences for our children.

What we expect from you
* Level 5 diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (England) (or working towards it). If you have an equivalent qualification, you must be willing to undertake (and complete within 18 months) the Level 5 diploma once in post.
* Experience of working with looked after children and young people, in a residential setting.
* Experience of managing and supervising staff.
* The knowledge, experience and confidence to successfully register with Ofsted.
* The ability to manage challenging and stressful situations, remain calm whilst inspiring your children and team through difficult situations.
* The ability to maintain good monitoring of Quality and Assurance across your service.
* The ability to provide inspirational leadership to your team, supervising and leading your team while maintaining good communication at all levels.
* A good understanding of Children with Complex Health Needs and Disabilities Services.
* Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team including commissioners and external professionals/parents.
* The confidence and ability to lead an Ofsted inspection, aspiring to achieve a GOOD or Outstanding outcome.
* The ability and willingness to learn to use BCFT electronic systems.
* The ability to nurture and support your team to achieve excellence for the children.
* The flexibility to ensure that your service is appropriately supported during evenings, weekends, and bank holidays. This may require you to be hands-on to support your team as required by the needs of the service. You may also be required to undertake some sleep-in duties in order to support your team and children.
