IT Systems Assistant
Contract: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract (with potential for extension based on business needs)
Hours: 20 hours per week
Salary: £12,480 (£23,088 FTE)
Location: Lavinia House, Horsham (with travel to other AUKWSBH locations)

About The Role
Age UK West Sussex, Brighton & Hove is looking for a dedicated IT Systems Assistant to join our team on a fixed term contract. This role is at the heart of an exciting project to roll out Windows 11 across our organisation and provide vital first-line IT support to help us achieve our goals.
This is more than just a job; it’s an opportunity to contribute to meaningful work that supports older people to live well and age positively. The IT Systems Assistant will play a critical role in ensuring our organisation’s systems are running smoothly, enabling our team to deliver the best services to our community. The role will require travel to other AUKWSBH locations as needed.
As our IT Systems Assistant, you will:
* Lead the rollout of Windows 11 across all laptops and hardware under the guidance of our IT Systems & Data Officer and external IT partners.
* Provide first-line IT support, troubleshooting, and resolving basic IT issues.
* Assist with IT administration, including Office365, SharePoint, and Azure AD management (e.g., creating accounts, updating passwords, managing distribution groups).
* Perform regular data management tasks such as data entry, record updates, and data protection activities like large-scale data destruction.
* Support the development and maintenance of our internal database and IT systems.
Key Requirements:
* A good working knowledge of database systems, particularly Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with hardware upgrades (e.g., memory upgrades) and operating system installations.
* Basic understanding of IT systems administration, including Office365 and SharePoint.
* A proactive and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving and data management.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information to non-technical users.
