Hours: Full-time, 41 hours per week. Various rota patterns. Our Installers work 4 days out of 6 (Monday - Saturday) This means you’ll enjoy 3 days off each week to maintain a healthy work/life balance. As part of a 2 person crew, you will deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is made with the highest level of customer service. As a driver for the Partnership, you will promote the John Lewis brand in a professional and courteous manner to other road users. The Partnership is enthusiastic about contribution. What you will be doing: Your typical day will start with completing all daily vehicle checks and following correct defect reporting procedures. After you have safely loaded/checked your route you will then undertake your deliveries and collections for the day alongside your colleague. Using the latest in-cab technology and multi-functional devices to navigate your day Communication with your customers is key and you will need to ensure you call every customer 30 minutes before you are due to arrive. Upon arrival, you will deliver the customer's goods to their room of choice and undertake any services that have been booked. These may include: Installation and disconnection of white goods Assembly of flat pack furniture, wall hangings/fixings TV installations Finally, you will offer to take away the packaging. Upon return to the customer delivery hub, you will complete your end-of-day vehicle check and debrief, ensuring any issues/defects are reported. Required essential experience skills and qualifications: Hold a valid UK C1 Manual Driving Licence with no more than 6 points, valid DCPC and valid Tachograph Card. Be comfortable lifting heavy and bulky household goods. Comprehensive compliance knowledge to ensure that the vehicle is operated within transport legislation at all times. Interpersonal communication skills, both over the phone and face-to-face. An enthusiasm for delivering brilliant customer service Desirable experience skills and qualifications: Previous experience of installing and disconnecting white goods, furniture and TV/audio products. Previous experience as a customer service representative in a customer-facing role. Previous experience in a home delivery role or working on a time-sensitive schedule.
