As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to join our team and oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficiency and productivity across all projects.
Job Summary
The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing and improving the overall operations of the company. This includes overseeing project execution, ensuring efficient workflow, coordinating teams, and maintaining quality control throughout all stages of painting projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of construction operations, and experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and manage day-to-day operations of painting projects from start to finish, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
2. Coordinate and communicate with project managers, supervisors, and operatives to ensure smooth workflow and optimal productivity.
3. Develop and implement operational processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness across the company.
4. Monitor project progress, quality control, and safety standards to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
5. Manage resource allocation, including labour, materials, and equipment, to ensure adequate support for projects.
6. Collaborate with the sales and estimating teams to ensure accurate project scope and budgeting.
7. Identify potential issues and resolve operational challenges proactively, minimizing delays and cost overruns.
8. Track and analyse key performance metrics to drive operational improvements.
9. Ensure client satisfaction through consistent communication and high-quality service delivery.
10. Develop and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to foster trust and continued business.
Qualifications:
1. 2+ years of experience in operations management within the construction or painting industry.
2. Proven track record of managing construction projects and operations in a fast-paced environment.
3. Strong understanding of project management, budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
4. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, with attention to detail.
6. Proficient in Microsoft Office - Excel.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
8. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in the construction industry.
9. Holds a CSCS Card and Preferably SSSTS.
