Job summary NHS Chemilab Ltd are seeking a medicine counter assistant on a part time basis for 17 hours per week, covering Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday 3pm-7pm & Saturday 1pm-6pm, to offer frontline assistance within our group of pharmacies. Main duties of the job Endeavour to answer all phone calls proactively and professionally, taking care to minimise pharmacist concentration loss. Ensure every customer is greeted positively and promptly, to provide exemplary customer experience at all times Wherever possible face up, rotate and refresh shop stock, including replacing faded price tickets, and clear any mess to ensure the shop floor looks its best General housekeeping of the pharmacy, so as to maintain a hygienic & clinical environment. Check for any pricing discrepancies with stock coming in. Check basic legal prescription requirements for prescriptions handed in are all filled out in the first instance. Process patient returns correctly. Make sure ready prescriptions are filed correctly to make it easier to locate. Ensure prescription exemptions are signed correctly on all prescriptions including CDs. Corral customers into orderly queues, so they don't jump the line to dispensary. Process prescription requests according to practice rules. Be aware of who is in the shop, if customers are browsing or there are patients waiting. for help, whether or not they are standing at the counter.
