An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join the Endoscopy Admissions team at both Poole and Bournemouth and Wimborne Hospital.
Applicants must have excellent communication and administration skills and experience of working in an office/NHS setting would be ideal.
You will be hardworking and want to deliver an excellent service to our patients, relish a challenge and enjoy working under pressure.
We have 1 Full time (37.5). The position is primarily based in Wimborne with cross site working in Poole and Bournemouth when needed. Working hours are between 7.30am - 6pm, Monday - Saturday both on a rota basis.

Main duties of the job
This job role may involve working in any/all of the following areas on a rotational basis within a team:
* Admitting and Discharging Patients.
* Making notes up for Clinic.
* Adding to the waiting list.
* Cover Reception when required Across the UHD 3 Sites.

Job Description
Job responsibilities
* To perform clerical tasks necessary to the efficient running of the department e.g photocopying, scanning, filing, using moderate computer and keyboard skills.
* To accurately input referral details into the hospitals waiting list management system on a daily basis.
* Use the hospital computer system to access patient details. CRT must be used at all times when receiving, creating and moving notes. This is mandatory within the Trust.
* To prepare an adequate handover instruction sheet to be used in the post holder's absence.
* To maintain a safe, confidential and tidy working environment.
* You may be responsible for maintaining adequate stock levels of stationary, patient information leaflets, consent forms, pre-procedure prep etc, advising the Admin Supervisor/Manager as necessary.
* To communicate with patients who attend the department for an appointment or procedure. Maintain confidentiality at all times.
* Deal with confidential sensitive information about patients.
* Adhere to policies and statutory Health and Safety requirements of the University Hospitals Dorset.
* To maintain patient safety through rigorous and consistent compliance with Trust policies for the prevention and control of infection, including hand hygiene.
* To undertake appropriate mandatory training and updates in infection prevention and control.
* To be aware of RTT (Referral to Treatment) pathways to adjust patient referral to treatment clock according to the treatment plan, liaising with Admin Manager and/or Validator as necessary. Training will be provided.
