Role is based on our Education centre in Cheddar, it is a FT 37.5 hour a week role with all school holidays off.
We require a male preferably; however, all strong candidates would be considered. They must have understanding and experience of working with Autism, learning difficulties, and complex behaviours.
It is £12.50 per hour, and we want the right candidate to start immediately due to increased referrals.

A dedicated service provider offering support to individuals with special needs, including autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities. As a Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in assisting young individuals in their educational journey while fostering independence and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide one-on-one support to young learners with autism spectrum disorder and learning disabilities.
2. Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes overall well-being and mental health.
3. Support daily activities such as educational tasks, communication exercises, and social interactions.
4. Help individuals develop essential life skills, including personal hygiene, cooking, and shopping.
5. Assist with medication administration when necessary.
6. Provide personal care support where needed.
Experience:
1. Previous experience working with individuals with autism spectrum disorder or special education needs is essential.
2. Proficiency in effectively communicating with diverse learning requirements.
3. Ability to work collaboratively with educators, therapists, and other professionals to support individualized learning plans.
