Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
As a CR&S practitioner, you will typically be working on multiple initiatives covering a variety of geographies, focus areas, and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support projects in change and culture management
* Develop and deliver CR&S strategies
* Analise data to support CR&S outcomes
* Manage and influence stakeholder relationships
* Write reports and present on outcomes
* Understanding environmental, societal and regulatory agendas and help the business to engage
* Manage CS&R budgets, fundraising and measuring return on investment
* Ensure the Plant complies with all applicable environmental legislation and Company corporate requirements, including the development and maintenance of environmental monitoring and reporting programmes, in line with the Plant’s environmental permits
* Support the Plant’s Environmental Management System (EMS) to maintain ISO 14001 certification
* Lead and conduct audits to evaluate compliance with applicable requirements, including environmental performance criteria and identify opportunities for continuous improvement
* Manage the development and implementation of key environmental procedures and programmes
* Liaise with business units and staff at all levels and provide technical support and advice.
* Develop and manage the Plant’s sustainability strategy, driving environmental improvements and implementing best practices

* Balance own CR&S workload to prioritise competing demands and achieve key performance indicators.
* Utilise strengths of internal organisational structures to help build self-sustaining CR&S populations.
* Tailor approach to maintaining new/existing external stakeholder relationships to achieve progress on plans (e.g objectives, key initiatives and shared interests).
* Contribute to the negotiation of external CR&S projects of mutual benefit.
* Adopt a communication method that takes account of the audience and is suitable for the circumstances.
* Recommend opportunities for external engagement, articulating the mutual benefits and risks.

Your training plan
* During your apprenticeship you will undergo remote learning through live webinars, forums, one to ones with a dedicated learning coach.
* You will receive constant feedback and coaching through RHG’s team of experienced learning coaches.
* You will gain the Level 4 Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability Standard qualification (additionally level 2 in English and Maths if not previously attained).
