1 post (Freeman Hospital)
37 hours per week
Due to the current post-holder securing a new role in the team, we have a social work opportunity available. Our job is to help people to get home or where they need to be as quickly and safely as possible and follow them up when they have left hospital.
We could list what we want from you, but you can find that out from the person specification. Instead, we asked our team members to tell you why you should apply:
* “The managers and team have given me the confidence and knowledge to do my job well. Management is committed to helping the team stay motivated in what can be a very challenging role. I feel valued, supported, and empowered in my job.”
* “You will get the opportunity to work within a multi-disciplinary team including health and social care workers, which is a great way of developing knowledge, skills and experience. Each professional brings their own expertise to get the best outcomes for the patients.”
* “I feel supported and that my managers and team-mates care about me and everyone is willing to help one another. I have only good things to say about Newcastle City Council and would definitely recommend working here!”
* “Supportive and experienced managers who control workloads and do not just keep piling on the work or ignore us when we ask for help.”
* “Everyone in the team works hard to manage their busy workloads efficiently and pulls together to help each other out where they can.”
* “Feels like you are part of a team as we still have an office / team room and not all lone working from home. The job offers a great flexibility working pattern such as hybrid working and a friendly office environment for peer support.”
* “I love working in a hospital setting. It is so rewarding helping and supporting patients and family members when important decisions need to be made.”
As you can tell, we have a lot of happy and fulfilled workers, and we want one more!
