We are seeking skilled fabricators with experience in plastic or metal sheet fabrication to join our successful plastic client. This position offers day shifts only, allowing you to be part of a small yet expanding team working on a diverse array of products, from smaller units for the pharmaceutical sector to large engine components.
Position Responsibilities:
* Utilizing hand tools and plastics to fabricate units according to job specifications.
* Inspecting materials and components to uphold high-quality standards.
* Interpreting engineering drawings to develop fabrication solutions for various clients.
* Assessing design feasibility and estimating delivery timelines for products.
* Proposing improvements in fabrication methods to enhance efficiency and service quality for customers.
* Monitoring work quality throughout the fabrication process and promptly addressing any defects.
* Collaborating closely with the team to maintain equipment and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Requirements:
* Proficiency in operating hand tools and experience in plastic fabrication.
* Skills in hot air and extrusion welding, gluing, and bonding.
* Ability to work from engineering drawings and follow job sheets.
* General knowledge and experience in fabrication.
* Capability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team setting.
* Access to your own car is essential, as you may need to travel to Leeds for upskilling and training.
