About Job: The primary purpose of this role is to proactively identify new business opportunities by maintaining and expanding existing export markets. This involves working closely with established distributor partners to maximize the sales of Welland products, aligning efforts with corporate objectives and the sales and marketing plan. Main Duties & Responsibilities: Set annual objectives with each export distributor, covering pricing, stock control, regulatory activities, sales and marketing initiatives, and forecasts. Develop and secure distributor input for annual forecasts and marketing strategies, and monitor/report progress on a monthly basis. Organize quarterly review meetings with key distributors to discuss and track market activities as outlined in the annual sales and marketing plan. Monitor distributor activities to ensure alignment with agreed objectives. Prepare and circulate visit reports highlighting key issues impacting sales, production, and product/communication activities. Compile monthly sales reports for inclusion in departmental management and board updates. Foster strong relationships and maintain regular contact with export distributors and market influencers. Assist with organizing and attending key exhibitions, distributor meetings, and other essential events. Contribute to the development and communication of the annual sales and marketing strategy and budget. Present at internal and external meetings as needed. Conduct product training and staff inductions as applicable, including training for distributors. Collaborate with relevant departments to ensure accurate and effective information flow from all markets. Identify trends and opportunities for new export markets and product development. Personal Competencies: Essential: Degree-level qualification Proven sales experience, particularly in export sales, with a strong sales record. Experience in managing distributors and building relationships effectively. Familiarity with international payment and shipment terms. Willingness to travel internationally and a valid passport and driving license. Solid understanding of standard sales processes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with good presentation skills. Highly organized, with strong time management and teamwork abilities. Creative, innovative, and flexible, with the ability to prioritize workload and work independently. Capable of influencing stakeholders and peers. Self-motivated with a "can-do" attitude and readiness to handle a demanding yet rewarding workload. Desirable: Experience in European markets and complex negotiation. Analytical and forecasting abilities. Skill in knowledge management and communicating with both internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with healthcare products, particularly in ostomy, wound care, urology, or continence Awareness of global issues and current affairs. Fluent in French and/or German. Problem-solving skills with a flexible, innovative approach to challenges Ability to anticipate and meet the needs of others within the organization.
