Senior Office Administrator
PP - Independent Salary Scale: Pay dependent upon qualifications and experience:
Full Time/Permanent (37.5 hrs pw 8.15am-4.00pm) (weeks pa TBC)
PhoenixPlace is a specialist independent school for girls with complex social, emotional and attachment difficulties. Rated as ‘good’, we provide education across key stages 3 and 4 and are looking for a dynamic, skilled full-time Senior Office Administrator to join our vibrant and growing school.
We are looking for a flexible, reliable and enthusiastic colleague to work within our busy school office in this varied role. The successful candidate will coordinate all administrative functions in order to assist in the smooth running of the school and to maintain accurate records. A team worker, the candidate will also be confident to work on a busy reception desk independently at times. Previous school experience and knowledge of school management information systems is desirable.
The successful candidate will be the first port of call for all enquiries and needs to communicate and operate in a highly professional, friendly manner with staff, students, parents, visitors, and other stakeholders. The postholder must have empathy and understanding of students and parents/carers' needs and be able to work in a busy and deadline-led environment.
Excellent organisational skills and a cheery and friendly manner are key qualities for this role. Candidates should be passionate about every student’s learning and personal development, able to work closely with a strong, collaborative team of colleagues, and have a desire to promote excellent behaviour and high standards.
You will be expected:
1. To provide high-quality customer service for all who visit the school and work in the school
2. To provide administrative support to the Headteacher, Senior Leadership team, School Business Manager, and staff
3. To be organised and efficient
4. To maintain filing and filing system for prompt retrieval of information
5. To proficiently use a PC, including Office, email, Excel, Publisher, and MIS systems
6. To hold or to be willing to undertake training in enhanced levels of first aid/paediatric care
