Job Specification: Deputy Manager (Children's Residential Home) Location: Castleford Salary: Starting at £36,270.00 per annum, with an increase upon successful completion of a 6-month probationary period Hours: 46.5 hours per week, including office hours, 24-hour shifts, and on-call duties Tudor Employment Agency are seeking an experienced and passionate Deputy Manager to join our team at a new children's residential home in Castleford. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in children's residential care and experience managing teams in a similar setting. Key Responsibilities: Lead and support the team to deliver high-quality care for children and young people Assist the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home Act as a role model and mentor for staff, fostering a positive and inclusive team culture Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and policies Manage and participate in the emergency on-call rota (1 week per month) Drive children and young people to appointments, education, social events, and contact sessions Take part in staff supervision, appraisals, and training programs Support young people in achieving their individual goals and development plans Qualifications and Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience managing a team in a children's residential setting Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare/Children's Workforce or Level 4 Children, Young People, and Families Practitioner (Residential) qualification (or currently working towards one) A full UK driving licence (essential).
