The Post
To assist the Repairs and Maintenance Operations in the smooth delivery of a quality customer-focused service. The successful applicant would be skilled to a multi-trade level to assist the Right First Time culture we promise our clients. You should also be capable of promoting the Breyer Group PLC Brand. Ideally, the candidate will demonstrate a primary trade background to ensure the experience will assist in ensuring a quality and efficient delivery; multi-trade experience would be an advantage. The candidate will ensure that they are organized to carry out a multiple number of calls per day as directed by the Operations team, ensuring we are carrying out an efficient service within the service level agreements. Flexibility is required from the post holder to work effectively in a changing environment, which may involve undertaking other tasks and/or changes in the location of base, all within the same level of responsibility and terms and conditions of employment.
Main Responsibilities
1. Day-to-day management of workload
2. Ensure that all works are carried out safely and to an excellent quality standard
3. Updating PDA devices with work schedules and other key information as required
4. Maintain our corporate image and service standards
5. Communicate with residents face-to-face
6. Effectively deal with tenants' issues and complaints
7. Ensure compliance with all necessary regulations, standards, and legal responsibilities relating to repair work and contractor compliance
8. Maintain a quality right first time fix service
9. Manage stock within the van to minimize non-working time
10. Ensure effective and proactive delivery of service
11. Maintain and deliver any required documentation to agreed standards and timescales
12. Work as an integral team member and mentor/coach to apprentices
13. Make decisions using specialist experience
14. Support and manage delivery of health and safety policy and standards
15. Support and assist in identifying cost reduction opportunities
16. Participate in out-of-hours on-call system as required by the service

Essential
* Site Operative CSCS card
* Asbestos Awareness Training
* Trade City & Guilds/ NVQ qualification
* Full UK driving licence
Desirable
* SMSTS Health and Safety
* First Aid Trained
* CRB check preferred
* Multi Trade Discipline
* Locksmith
