As Digital Information & Social Media Officer, you will support the Digital Information & Social Media Manager in creating engaging and innovative content across our digital platforms. Working closely with young people and content creators, you will develop user-generated content that brings our campaigns to life. You will ensure our website and social media channels remain at the cutting edge, providing high-quality, relevant and timely information that empowers young people from all communities and backgrounds in Scotland to thrive and make the most of their lives.
What you’ll be doing from day-to-day:
* Delivering accurate, relevant and quality-assured information content for young people in a variety of formats.
* Storyboarding, planning, recording and editing of video, social and audio content – alongside sometimes featuring in video content.
* Providing support and guidance to team members and partners around content development.
* Supporting the production of content by young people and content creators.
* Researching youth trends and potential new digital channels for communicating with young people.
A great candidate will have a mix of these skills and experiences:
* Able to think creatively and to communicate creative ideas to others.
* Experience in creating high-quality and innovative content and campaigns for social media platforms or websites.
* Experience in analysing data and using insights to inform future projects.
* Excellent attention to detail and high visual standards when producing creative work.
* Able to work effectively in a team and on own initiative.
As the successful candidate, you will be required to complete a PVG application before starting the role.

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) as our Communications Officer, playing a key role in amplifying young people’s voices and showcasing the impact of our work.
SYP is proud to be a youth-led organisation that empowers young people to shape policy and drive change. From securing Votes at 16 to influencing national decision-making, we work to ensure young people’s voices are heard at all levels.
As our Communications Officer, you will lead and develop SYP’s internal and external communications, supporting Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament (MSYPs) to share their stories, engage with the media, and connect with key stakeholders. You will maintain our digital presence, shape our brand identity, and ensure our messaging is accessible, engaging, and impactful.

On this occasion, we are specifically seeking a male worker. Around 50% of young people attending our club identify as male. When we take young people on residential experiences or outward-bound activities, there is often a need to offer gender-based support in dressing, changing or dealing with nighttime issues.
At present, we only have one male youth worker; we have three female youth workers. We feel it is important to build resilience in this regard to ensure we are able to offer a full service to boys seeking to take part in our activities.
Consequently, this post holder may be required to offer personal and intimate care affecting privacy and decency in circumstances where there may be a reasonable objection to being attended by someone of the opposite sex. As such, this advert should be regarded as being exempt from the Equalities Act.
Purpose of Job:
FetLor Youth Club is a busy and thriving youth centre in the north of Edinburgh. The Club welcomes over 300 young people every week to enjoy a range of clubs and activities. Club events are facilitated by a team of youth workers. This new post will add to the team that is currently in place.
We have a strong ethos of providing emotional support to all the young people who choose to spend their time with us. Every aspect of club life is underpinned by the value we place upon emotional support offered through a listening, non-judgemental and caring practice.
Main Duties:
* Supporting and listening to all young people who attend our club.
* Ensuring young people remain at the heart of all our club activities.
* Supervising young people attending the club and supporting them in undertaking a variety of club-based activities including, but not restricted to:
o Cooking
o Physical play such as dodgeball, unihoc and football
o Supporting older members undertake youth achievement awards.
* Attending residential activities, such as sleepovers, Hopscotch and Outward-Bound programmes. This commitment is generally no more than 10 nights per year.
* Maintain and contribute to social media networks relating to our club.
* Be competent in the use of MS Word and Excel.
* Completing evaluations of youth work sessions using our in-house system.
* Being prepared to attend safeguarding and first aid training and put this learning to use when required.
* Be flexible and able to support our six-week summer programme of daytime activities throughout July and early August each year. Please note, annual leave will not normally be authorised during this period.
* Any other reasonable duties that are appropriate or as directed by the Youth Work Manager, Chief Executive or the Board.

Kirkcaldy YMCA delivers community projects and programmes to support children, young people, adults, and families throughout the Kirkcaldy area.
We are looking for a self-motivated and organised individual who will carry out the role of Finance Assistant in a manner that reflects the vision and values of Kirkcaldy YMCA.
As Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the financial operations of Kirkcaldy YMCA. You will be responsible for recording financial transactions (including invoicing, purchase & sales receipts and payments), post financial data to QuickBooks accounting software, reconcile accounts to ensure their accuracy and collate and process monthly payroll data in a timely manner.
The successful candidate would ideally have relevant Bookkeeping / Accounting experience (with Excel Spreadsheets and Accounting Software) and AAT Level 2 Certificate (SCQF Level 6) or equivalent qualification.
The role is critical in supporting the Management Team and the Organisation in delivering its charitable purpose whilst observing and upholding charity accounting compliance procedures.
MYPAS is a charity that provides free and confidential services for children and young people aged 10-21 years old across Midlothian and East Lothian, currently focusing on the key areas of mental health, substance use harm reduction and LGBT+ support. Demand for these services is high and increasing.
We are currently looking for enthusiastic individuals with Business experience to join our Board to support the governance and strategic leadership of the charity.
We are particularly interested in people who have experience of running a Business or Organisation, with knowledge and experience in the following areas:
* Business Management & Strategy
* HR, including recruitment & staff management
* Experience of employment law, employment policies
* Financial management, reporting and analysis
* Budgeting and budgetary control
* Planning and project management
* Leadership and change management

Previous experience of being a Board member is not essential as training and mentoring will be available to the successful candidate(s) to develop their skills if necessary.
