We are looking for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join our team in our Head Office at Catherine House, Northminster Business Park York.
As a Supply Chain Coordinator (SCC) you are an essential part of our supply chain operations. You are responsible for liaising between suppliers, agents, freight vendors and a range of other internal and external stakeholders.
You will oversee an area of responsibility which will likely include key suppliers and several suppliers within specific geographical areas.
The main responsibility will be to ensure orders are shipped on time in full working with a range of freight providers to ensuring goods are shipped in the timeliest and cost-effective way.
Key Responsibilities for our Supply Chain Coordinator
1. Overseeing the logistical management of specific areas of responsibility and key suppliers checking purchase orders are running on time vs plan and shipped on time in full (OTIF).
2. Overseeing the end-to-end shipment of purchase orders via the most suitable shipping method working with a number of freight vendors to ensure the timely delivery of goods into our main DC in York and other third-party warehouses.
3. Managing relationships with agents, key suppliers and freight vendors across our global supply chain to proactively address any potential issues.
4. Facilitate effective communication between internal departments and external stakeholders with a focus on providing excellent customer service.
5. Support the Supply Chain Manager with conducting performance evaluations of key suppliers and freight vendors identifying areas which can be optimised.
6. Support the Supply Chain Manager with the analysis and optimisation of transport routes and lead times to improve efficiencies and reduce transport costs.
7. The preparation and maintenance of daily and weekly reports on supply chain performance and key metrics.
8. Providing annual leave cover for other areas within the team.

6. MCIPS / MCILT Membership (or working towards) desirable.

Salary: £25,000 - £29,000 per annum plus:
