Design Engineer
Location: Cheltenham, UK (Hybrid working)

Role Overview:
The Design Engineer will support the execution of critical strategic projects within the Global Supply Chain (GSC) and will complete engineering activities in line with the project scope.
Your objectives and responsibilities will focus on:
1. Following the defined project and engineering governance and reporting framework
2. Actively engaging in design reviews and provision of subject matter expertise
3. Performing updates to technical work packages in line with project scope and timeline
4. Raising technical ideas, sharing improvement suggestions and escalating concerns to project technical lead
5. Producing marked-up prints with agreed changes from design reviews
6. Supporting the implementation of engineering changes identified through design reviews
7. Ensuring all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and policies
8. Supporting product validation, compliance activities and reviewing GSC engineering standards
Your previous experience is likely to include:
1. Conducting Design for Manufacture reviews
2. A working knowledge of machining, casting and forging standards/best practice
3. Product design experience and understanding (ASME & EN Design Codes)
4. A working understanding of ISO GPS
5. Utilisation of CAD software (Autodesk Inventor & Creo)
6. Working knowledge of Steam systems, products and applications
