Job Description:
Teaching Personnel are working alongside a further education SEMH provision based in Hartlepool. You will be supporting students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities to develop their communication, independence, and employability skills to make a successful transition.
The ideal candidate should have relevant experience and must be passionate about caring for others and confident in managing challenging behaviours.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provide support under the direction and supervision of teaching staff to assist pupils in accessing the curriculum and participating fully in school activities.
* Participate in planning and evaluation of learning activities with the teacher, providing feedback on pupil progress.
* Support the teacher in behaviour management and keeping pupils on task based on individual expectations.
* Provide support for pupils with challenging behaviour, considering support plans and risk assessments under the direct supervision of a teacher.
Minimum Requirements:
* Must hold an enhanced DBS registered with the update service.
* Patient and reliable.
* Experience working with people with SEN / disabilities.
* Experience as a care/support worker.
* Trained in Moving and Handling.
This role is available after half term and is required until the end of the academic year, with the potential of being extended. Due to the long-term nature of the role, we can negotiate your daily rate on your behalf, starting from £90 per day.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available later.
