Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Project Engineer to join our dynamic team. The Project Engineer is responsible for providing engineering advice to the project team and providing technical engineering and administrative project support for the successful completion of projects to time and within budgeted costs. Responsibilities Leadership · Act as an ambassador for the Company; always conducting oneself in accordance with Deepwater EU expectations. People Management · Provide ad hoc support to colleagues/suppliers & vendors on general queries relating to projects, engineering, software, etc. Project Management Under the guidance of a PM or the Engineering Manager, assume accountability for the delivery of assigned projects to ensure consistent delivery of high quality deliverables and materials on time, to budget, while fulfilling client needs and maintaining engaged project teams, specifically; Take responsibility for planning, scheduling and coordinating the technical and management aspects of projects and work package assigned. Leading client/contractor meetings when required. Undertake project tasks; this may include project co-ordination, engineering deliverables, vendor engagement/meetings, FAT inspections, logistics & travelling and some document control activities. Manage the delivery of a work package associated with a large project, or lead small to medium projects. Report project financials and project status to the relevant person/department at agreed intervals. Attend off-site client meetings, vendor meetings and FAT inspections where required. Collaborative working with Deepwater’s global offices in USA, Australia and Brazil where required. Participate in client/contractor meetings and help to resolve client, engineering, and project issues. Specific Engineering tasks Determining the documentation requirements for projects Engineering technical drawings (request and review) and creation of specifications and datasheets Report writing Concept and detailed engineering for new or modified existing products Awareness of steel fabrication and NDT testing Preparation of FAT procedures and reports Attending third party vendor sites for quality/FAT inspections/assembly works Preparation of site acceptance test/ installation procedures, risk assessments and method statements · Support project tenders where required, including producing supporting documents, material costs and engineering hour estimates. Site Requirements Undertake services within an onshore engineering environment for assembly works/construction, inspection and supervision where required. Experience A-Levels or HNC in mechanical engineering discipline or equivalent experience Experience in a similar role A member of a relevant engineering institution (NACE, ICORR, IMARest, etc.) Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Draftsight and Solidworks (if applicable to role). Current certification to work on offshore installations (BOSIET/FOET). Degree in mechanical engineering discipline, HND or equivalent experience. (Desirable) Experience of working within the oil and gas industry Current certification in Working in Confined Spaces. Current certification in Working at Height.
