Are you the right person for the job? A full UK driving license Proven experience in mechanical and electrical design, with a good understanding of building services Must be qualified to minimum HNC/HND mechanical and electrical engineering and be a member of one of the peer groups such as CIBSE Must be able to drive to sites when required if remote Approach all tasks with professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to detail Strong self-motivation and the ability to work autonomously while thriving under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic environment Possess an in-depth understanding of Building Regulations and Health & Safety Excellent communication skills What will your role look like? Troubleshooting across mechanical and electrical systems Ensuring that all designs comply with industry standards, regulations (e.g., CIBSE, RIBA), and client specifications Working with engineers, project managers, and contractors to ensure smooth project completion Conducting thorough surveys and producing detailed reports, including accurate cost estimates and whole life costing Manage and oversee both small and large-scale projects from start to finish What can you expect in return? Full management support through routine project set-up Expenses paid monthly Flexible working 5 weeks annual leave without pay accepted as long as no more than two weeks at a time Training on working practices and all site equipment required for any project will be provided CPD courses will be provided during the course of the contract Our client has a flexible office space in Rye and in London when required to be used as a base.
Their small group of engineers mainly work remotely with the admin centre based in the Rye office.
