FACTORY OPERATIVE:
Duties and Responsibilities
* Picking, packing and labelling items
* Handle equipment starting and stopping activities during each designated shift
* Regular manual handling responsibilities, including loading and unloading heavy items
* Pull damaged or faulty items from the production line
* Manage different stages of the production line by being actively involved in each procedure
* Check finished product for problems or faults and isolate any damaged or inconsistent item immediately
* Consistent delivery of product against Quality Control requirements
* Make sure that finished items are stored safely prior to being taken for packaging
* Ensure proper labelling of finished items and ensure that they are packaged properly
* Position completed orders in respective out loading locations
* Ensure that any equipment or tool malfunction is immediately reported
* Make sure that tools and equipment are cleaned and maintained properly at the end of each shift
* Operating basic machines
* Working to delivery plans and hitting personal and team targets
* Work in accordance with all the Company Health & Safety policies, safety rules and safe working practices at every step of the production process
Person Specifications:
* Previous experience of working in a factory environment is desirable but not essential
* Previous experience working on machinery desirable
* Enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn and improve
* Methodical by nature with a keen eye for detail
* Adaptable to change with the ability to listen and follow instructions, whilst using own initiative, if required
* A flexible approach to undertaking varied tasks
* Basic understanding of computers
* A strong team player
WAREHOUSE OPERATIVE:
Duties and Responsibilities
* Picking and packing orders
* Collating and processing initial order sheets for incoming and outgoing goods
* Moving stock around by hand or using forklift truck
* Ensuring paperwork is up to date
* Making sure all stock is labelled and stored correctly
* Check loads for damaged or missing items upon receipt
* Clean the space and ensure that goods do not get damaged
* Completing tasks within allotted time frames
* Work in accordance with all the Company Health & Safety policies, safety rules and safe working practices
Person Specifications:
* Previous experience of working in a warehousing environment is desirable but not essential
* Fork Lift Truck or Counterbalance licence would be desirable but not essential
* Enthusiastic with a strong desire to learn and improve
* Methodical by nature with a keen eye for detail
* Adaptable to change with the ability to listen and follow instructions, whilst using own initiative if required
* Basic understanding of computers
* A strong team player
HOURS OF WORK
Hours of work will be 47½ hours per week, working Monday to Friday, 07.00-17.00 with a half hour unpaid lunch break.
PAY
We offer the National Minimum Wage at a rate of £11.44 per hour.
