Based on the Equity Trading floor, our services range from, and are not limited to, discussion around investor relations strategy and programs, shareholder base analysis and targeting, market colour and strategic interactions with investors. We partner with various divisions of Goldman Sachs: Equity Sales, Equity Research, Investment Banking / ECM / Corporate Broking, PWM and we are a company's connectivity to the equity markets when underwriting is not involved. Our services include originating and then helping to plan non-deal road shows, field trips, and conferences. We are currently looking for a candidate with at least two years of market facing experience to fulfil an analyst / junior associate role within the team. Responsibilities: - Be part of the Origination team covering the Natural Resources, Energy, Utilities and ESG complex - Feed into product initiatives the team provides Investor Relations teams – including sourcing market colour and contributing to a daily morning email - Having a keen interest in how the markets operate and curiosity to learn and understand more is essential - Be ultimately responsible for the arrangement and organisation of conferences, roadshows, fieldtrips and ad-hoc investor inquires - Willing to work collaboratively with the team and other divisions on organisation, and keep key internal stakeholders updated - Solicit and draft feedback reports post non-deal roadshows - Direct contact with investing clients, corporates and investors on meeting details/ideas - Work closely with internal teams (GIR, IBD, ECM, Sales) on non-deal roadshow coordination - Work closely with Securities Sales on idea generation on non-deal roadshow and conferences (thematic, timely events) - Responsible for consumption analysis for investing clients, corroborating / entering missing data, producing weekly calendar of events, etc Qualifications - Requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills. - High attention to detail. - Able to work with multiple people on the team, together with internal stakeholders and work on various events / projects at the same time - Ability to maintain high standards despite pressing deadlines. - Ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently. - Self-starter with excellent anticipation skills; problem solving; follow up. - Demonstrated dependability and sense of urgency about getting results. - Demonstrates high degree of integrity and confidentiality. - Strong organizational skills. - Comfortable working with people at all organizational levels. - Comfortable working in a sometimes hectic, high pressure environment. - Languages (eg French or German) beneficial, but not essential - Strong proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. - Team player with a positive attitude. - Prefer 2 years of experience in a financial markets facing environment.
