What You'll Do (More Than Just Crunch Numbers)
As our Bookkeeper, you'll be the financial backbone of our investee companies—5-10 dynamic recruitment micro-businesses. You'll be their trusted advisor, ensuring their financial records are impeccable and providing key insights to support their growth.
Here's a Glimpse Of What Awaits You
* Daily: Dive into the details bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, and transaction categorisation. You'll be the master of keeping the financial ship sailing smoothly.
* Weekly: Connect with our investee owners during check-in calls, participate in team meetings, and ensure compliance is always top-notch.
* Monthly: Deliver accurate and timely monthly management accounts (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) by the 5th of the month, prepare and file VAT returns, and process payroll with precision.
* Quarterly: Participate in performance reviews, identify process improvements, and gather feedback from our investee companies.
* Annually: Support the management accountant with year-end accounts and personal tax return preparation.
What You'll Bring to the Table (Besides Your Sharp Mind):

* Technical Proficiency: You're a Xero expert (or proficient in similar accounting software) and comfortable with payroll and VAT processing.
* Experience: You have at least 3 years of experience in a bookkeeping role, ideally supporting multiple clients.

* Competitive Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 pro rata (depending on experience), based on 25 hours per week.
