Main purpose of role
The Students’ Association for the Highlands and Islands is a membership-led organisation and its primary purpose is to be the recognised representative of students to the University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI). To do this effectively, it is crucial that the student voice of our members is strong and heard by the institutions.
The main purpose of this role is to facilitate and enhance student engagement through communication with students, elected Officers, staff, and external stakeholders to further the improvement of the student experience. As the face of the Students’ Association at the local partner, the postholder is required to be primarily based on campus to undertake these duties.
The role will work closely with their Development Manager, the line manager of the position, to assess the student needs within that partnership and work on ways to deliver this. They will be a point of contact for Association activities at the local Academic Partner, which is supported by the Development Managers and the Regional teams.
