Bookmark Education is currently recruiting for an SEN Teaching Assistant to join a fantastic partner school in Derby (DE23) where you'll be working closely with Autism (Non-verbal children). We are offering competitive daily rates of £86 - £100 and flexible start dates, including ASAP or January, with both full-time and part-time roles available. What You’ll Do Create a Nurturing Learning Environment: Help pupils thrive in a vibrant EYFS classroom, providing both academic and emotional support. Deliver Tailored Support: Work with small groups and provide 1:1 intervention, adapting to individual needs, including early phonics and behavioural challenges. Support Diverse Learning Needs: Assist students with SEN, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, Dyslexia, and Speech & Language difficulties—no two days are the same Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to monitor progress, refine teaching approaches, and unlock every student’s potential. Inject Creativity: Use innovative teaching methods and engaging activities to motivate students and develop their social and academic skills. Encourage Positive Behaviour: Provide bespoke behavioural support, helping children build confidence, resilience, and strong social skills. What We’re Looking For Relevant Skills & Experience: Prior experience in a school setting is essential, especially with SEN students. A degree or a Teaching Assistant qualification is highly desirable. Adaptability: Flexibility and creativity are key—every child’s journey is unique, and your approach should reflect that.
