The Alness and Invergordon Medical practice is looking for a self-motivated, committed Treatment Room Practice Nurse to join our dedicated friendly team providing general nursing services for our patient population.
Hours of work negotiable. Monday to Friday 8.00am until 6.00pm.
To be considered for this position you must have a Registered General Nurse (RGN) qualification with current NMC registration.
Key responsibilities in relation to delivering health services:
• work as part of the practice clinical team to provide and monitor care, under direct or indirect supervision.
• improve safety and quality of care at every opportunity.
• perform and record clinical observations such as required.
• undertake new patient health checks.
• provide wound care, cervical screening, ECGs, venepuncture, hypertension reviews, long term condition monitoring and other relevant clinical care as required, in line with the competencies of the role.
• ·perform injections of medications, hormonal treatments, injectable contraceptives B12 injections or others as requested by hospital according to PGD and within boundaries of knowledge and training.
• promote health and well-being to all patients.
• care for individuals with complex conditions such as dementia, mental health conditions, and learning disabilities.
• advise patients on general healthcare and promote self-management where appropriate.
• maintain accurate and contemporaneous patient health records.
• enhance own performance through continuous professional development, imparting own knowledge and behaviours to meet the needs of the service
• Experience of working autonomously in a healthcare role (Primary or Secondary care) You should possess excellent communication, inter personal, organisational skills and be an active part of our clinical team.
