Job Title: Mechanical Maintenance Engineer - Dayshift
Location: Goole, Doncaster area easy M62 access and A1 proximity

Key Responsibilities – Mechanical Maintenance Fitter:
* Providing effective and efficient planned, preventative, and breakdown maintenance to minimise losses to production.
* Ensuring the continuous running of the production process by eliminating downtime through a safe and logical approach to fault finding and maintenance of equipment.
* Planned and reactive maintenance to keep downtime to a minimum.
* Working with conveyor systems, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and general mechanical fitting.
* Fault-finding to basic welding.
* Leading electrical and instrumentation repair and working with CMMS.
* Diagnosis, resolution, and elimination of root causes of mechanical engineering faults.
* Implementation of minor equipment modifications in support of increased performance.
* Completing all scheduled, planned corrective, reactive, and improvement maintenance as assigned.
* Contributing to the planning and implementation of allocated annual equipment overhauls.
Qualifications & Requirements – Mechanical Maintenance Engineer:
* Apprentice trained or NVQ level 3 in a mechanical engineering discipline in maintenance engineering.
* Manufacturing industry experience, heavy, medium, or FMCG environments considered.
* Knowledge of conveyor belts, drives, gearboxes, couplings, and general mechanical equipment.
* Knowledge of hydraulic & pneumatic systems is essential.
* Routine preventative maintenance understanding of a PPM schedule.
* Finding and fixing faults quickly and effectively.
* Basic welding and fabrication skills advantageous.
* Fitting, fabricating, and welding experience preferred.
* A proactive approach to fault finding and a commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
