We are looking for a Manufacturing Team Manager to join us on a permanent basis. This role is on a day shift pattern. What you'll do: Direct line-management for their team, including the setting of annual performance objectives, quarterly performance reviews, absence management and the identification of development opportunities for team members. Where required, line management responsibility extends to all operator staff. Collaborate across multiple levels and departments to deliver efficient day-to-day management of the production processes, ensuring all production goals are achieved and plans are established and executed to achieve product supply requirements on a 0-6 month horizon. Follow required standards with respect to documentation, good housekeeping, cGMP, health and safety, timekeeping, regulatory legislative requirements and in accordance with the Code of Conduct, quality manual and any other company policies and procedures. Take ownership of, and be responsible for, all actions undertaken as part of the role, to ensure commitments to the organisation and colleagues are always met. To ensure the necessary documentation for the activities carried out e.g. batch documentation, SOPs etc are accurate and correctly completed by the manufacturing representatives and that procedures are reviewed in a timely manner to identify improvement opportunities. To contribute to and initiate the necessary training curricula and the on the job training required by the team members in order for team to complete its role. To ensure that a competency assessment is undertaken for all core team members and that Personal Learning Plans (PLPs) are in place for staff. Lead daily operations meetings, prioritise and action any issues raised in a timely manner and with the appropriate resource. Responsible for developing and executing a team development plan in line with the manufacturing operations strategy. Ensure Operational Excellence is integrated into the teams responsibilities inclusive of embracing a continuous improvement philosophy and a "Right First Time From Me" attitude to all operations. Essential Skills & Experience Experience of managing large teams within a manufacturing environment A good awareness and understanding of GMP and HS&E requirements within a regulatory environment Experience of implementing Lean practices to deliver tangible operational improvements Understanding of electronic quality systems Good technical and compliance understanding of specific process stages and equipment involved Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including report writing Excellent organisational, planning and time management skills Capable of managing multiple workstreams and competing priorities simultaneously Capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels in the organisation and obtaining support from other areas as and when required When we put unexpected teams in the same room, we unleash bold thinking with the power to inspire life-changing medicines.
