We have a vacancy within our Day Nursery for a part-time (all year round) chef, working 30 hours a week (8.30am until 2.30pm, Mon - Fri). Contract to include annual leave.
Candidates must be able to plan and organise a broad variety of healthy meals, have experience running/maintaining a kitchen and preferably hold a level 2 Food Hygiene certificate - although not essential as training can be provided. They must also be prepared to:
1. Work with nutritional guidelines and cook from fresh daily
2. Adhere to all dietary requirements
3. Undertake the cleaning of the kitchen area and its equipment to ensure high standards of hygiene, health and safety are consistently maintained
4. Complete records of cleaning and temperature control checks in accordance with official guidelines
5. Liaise with Environmental Health during inspections
6. Organise and maintain all stored foods and cleaning products
7. Take charge of all weekly catering orders
8. Be well organised
