About the Role:
CKP Recruitment is excited to support our client, a renowned national provider in the transport sector, in hiring 2 Transport Operators for their dynamic team in Stokesley, Middlesbrough. This role is essential in driving efficient operations and exceptional customer service. We’re seeking enthusiastic, organized professionals with solid IT skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work in a busy environment. Shift Patterns Available:
Shift 1: 7:00 am – 4:00 pm
Shift 2: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
What You’ll Do:
Coordinate transport routes and ensure that tankering services meet daily schedules and client expectations.
Professionally handle customer interactions through both email and telephone, maintaining strong relationships and delivering prompt responses.
Operate Transport Management Systems (TMS), including tools like Mandata, to assist with scheduling, tracking, and accurate data management.
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word) and Outlook extensively for internal communication, data entry, and administrative tasks.
Collaborate with the team and drivers to streamline daily operations, ensuring smooth, uninterrupted service delivery.
Maintain comprehensive records, demonstrating a keen eye for detail in documentation.
What You’ll Bring:
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Outlook is a must.
Familiarity with TMS systems like Mandata, Microlise, or similar is beneficial but not essential.
Previous experience in transport or logistics is advantageous, though not required.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a reliable work ethic.
Excellent communication skills, with experience managing customer service by phone and email.
Good knowledge of UK geography to support efficient route planning.
