Moutere Management Ltd operates an extensive, diverse business portfolio including DC Equipment; global suppliers of steep slope logging equipment, Moutere Logging and The Loggers Shop in Brightwater. DC Equipment manufactures, services and distributes from their head office in Nelson, branches in Chile and Canada, and through a global distributor network. With a mission to create a safer and more productive steep slope logging industry, they are a world leader in innovative technologies. A growing business, they are diversifying into new markets, supplying their equipment to assist with land clearing in the construction, oil, and gas industries internationally.
Reporting to the General Manager of Finance and Administration, your role is to provide accurate and insightful analytical reporting across various commercial activities and multinational entities. In particular, you will take responsibility for a newly established Canadian entity. A varied and broad role, you will lead budgeting and forecasting, reporting on variances. You will develop and produce accurate KPI reporting for senior management, ideally using Power BI and other software tools. Administering and complying with international tax requirements, including the review and analysis of transfer pricing policy is a key aspect of this role. You will have the opportunity to analyse and improve workflows as well as streamline and improve the ERP systems and processes for accurate and timely data reporting. This role will have a high level of interaction and collaboration with senior management to ensure ERP systems and processes are adhered to for work orders, purchase orders, invoice processing, and more.
To be successful in this role, you will have proven experience in international business operations, transfer pricing, taxation, budgeting, forecasting, and cost accounting. While qualifications are valued, it will be your breadth and depth of technical and practical accounting skills that are critical. Experience within manufacturing or project-orientated industries such as construction and engineering would align well. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail, is required. You will naturally build positive relationships with colleagues and enjoy getting involved and learning the business to enable you to do your job effectively.
