Job summary
We are looking for an experienced emergency adult or children's Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) from a nursing or paramedic background to join our Emergency Department (ED) team.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of the clinician rota ensuring the safe assessment, management, referral and discharge of patients across all areas of the ED. You should possess a Masters level qualification in advanced clinical practice, be an independent prescriber and have previous experience in managing patients independently as an ACP in ED.
The post holder will deliver an 80% clinical component to their role and 20% related to the other pillars of advanced practice, education, research and leadership/management. You will be provided with mentorship from both a Consultant and Consultant Nurse in Advanced Practice and, if required, you will be supported to become credentialed on the Royal College of Emergency Medicine ACP curriculum.

St George's ED is a Major Trauma Centre and incorporates an Urgent Treatment Centre and a Children's and Young People's ED. Experience
Essential
* Post-registration experience, which includes ED experience
* Demonstration of experience in all four pillars of advanced clinical practice (clinical practice, leadership and management, research, education)
* Participation in audit and research
Desirable
* Experience as clinical Leader
* Experience in an autonomous practice role
Qualifications
Essential
* Registered nurse or paramedic
* MSc level in Advanced Practice or equivalent
* Independent non-medical prescriber
Desirable
* Undertaken accredited course or gained digital badge accreditation with centre for advancing practice
* Completed RCEM ACP credentialing
