Electromechanical Technician - Workshop - Full Time - Falkirk, United Kingdom

Become a part of the exciting expansion at Sulzer's Falkirk Service Centre! We are actively seeking a Multi-Skilled Electro Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic Services Team. In this role, you will be pivotal in the disassembly, mechanical QA checks, electrical testing, overhaul, repair, assembly, service, and maintenance of all types of high and low voltage AC motors and generators, with a predominant focus on high voltage machines.
Your main tasks and responsibilities:
1. Installation, removal, and replacement of HV motors, generators and white metal bearings.
2. Laser alignment, baker testing, electrical winding, vibration analysis and on-site balancing skills are desirable, however not essential.
3. Leading / working as part of a team or alone on various customer sites within the UK, Offshore Oil / Gas Installations and abroad.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A recognised Electrical / Mechanical engineering apprenticeship.
2. Advanced electrical and mechanical aptitude.
3. Strong engineering background in a similar role working with HV electrical rotating machines (Motors and generators).
4. Knowledge and experience in the principles of quality assurance, quality control and health and safety legislation.
5. Previous demonstrable experience of overhaul and repair of all types of electric motors and generators including (LV & HV), along with other rotating equipment such as pumps and gearboxes.
6. Knowledge of health and safety requirements.
7. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings.
8. Flexibility and ability to adapt.
9. AEMT / EASA training would be beneficial to the role.
