About the Role:
As the General Manager of an AV company, you're the captain steering the ship. You'll oversee everything from sales and customer service to project management and technical operations. Your mission: lead the business to hit revenue and growth targets while delivering top-notch AV solutions. This role demands a deep understanding of AV tech, project execution, and business savvy.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
* Chart the course for all departments, aligning them with the company's goals.
* Craft and execute business plans to boost market share, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
* Inspire and lead a diverse team, fostering a positive and productive culture.
* Be the bridge between leadership, employees, clients, and stakeholders.
* Report to the CEO/COO on performance, market trends, and operational improvements.
Operations & Project Management:
* Keep daily operations running smoothly, ensuring efficient AV solution delivery.
* Manage large-scale AV projects, hitting timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
* Work with technical and sales teams to nail down project requirements and execution.
* Monitor project progress, solve problems, and keep clients in the loop.
* Implement best practices to streamline workflows and minimize risks.
* Analyze financial reports, identify cost-saving opportunities, and improve financial performance.
* Ensure projects are financially viable, meeting margin targets while delivering quality results.
Sales & Client Relationship Management:
* Develop sales strategies to attract new clients and retain existing ones.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business.
* Oversee proposals, quotations, and presentations, tailoring solutions to client needs.
* Lead contract negotiations and manage key accounts with the sales team.
Technology & Innovation:
* Stay ahead of the curve with the latest AV technologies and industry trends.
* Recommend and implement new AV solutions and services to meet market demand.
* Collaborate with R&D and technical teams to integrate emerging technologies.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
* Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and safety protocols.
* Monitor quality assurance processes to meet company and client expectations.
* Address client feedback and complaints, making improvements as needed.
Who we are looking for:
Education & Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, AV Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
* 8-10 years in a senior management or leadership role, preferably in the AV industry.
* Proven track record in managing large-scale projects, cross-functional teams, and driving business growth.
* In-depth knowledge of AV technology, systems integration, and industry best practices.
* Experience with budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning.
Skills:
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage and motivate diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
* Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
* Ability to juggle multiple projects and priorities.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office, project management software, and CRM systems.
* Strong understanding of sales, marketing, and client relationship management in the AV industry.
