We are looking for a practical individual to join Talbots as a Solicitor for our Dispute Resolution Team, specialising in contested probate and court of protection matters with at least 2 years’ experience.
As a Solicitor, you will be advising on a wide range of contentious probate matters and specialist Court of Protection matters, whilst managing your own caseload and working as part of the Dispute Resolution team.

What the job involves:
* Manage a diverse caseload across contested probate and court of protection matters.
* Advise beneficiaries, executors and trustees as well as claimants and defendants in court proceedings relating to disputed wills, probate or trusts.
* As the role involves direct client interaction, an empathic but persuasive approach and a passion for client care is key, along with business development responsibilities.
* Ensure compliance with SRA, Lexcel, Law Society Quality Scheme standards, SARs and accounting requirements.
What you need:
* At least 2 years qualified experience of independently running your own caseload in contested probate matters, from inception to completion.
* Working knowledge of Court of Protection matters and proceedings under Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996.
* Excellent interpersonal and team working skills and strong IT skills.
* Passionate about giving outstanding client care to clients and referrers with strong interpersonal skills, sensitivity, tact and diplomacy.
