We are looking for passionate and ambitious Senior Pharmacy assistants who hold an NVQ/QCF Level 2 in Pharmacy Services or are currently enrolled on an approved pharmacy Technician apprenticeship course to join our friendly and supportive team. The successful candidate will be required to support Bristol Royal Infirmary and Bristol Eye Hospital.
You must be highly organized, have excellent people and communication skills along with the ability to adapt quickly to new situations and challenges.
Successful candidates will also be eligible to enroll on an approved Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship, where on successful completion they will be eligible to apply for Pharmacy Technician vacancies.

Main duties of the job
The primary responsibility of the Senior ATO is to dispense accurate medicines in a timely manner for wards and departments under the direction of the Pharmacy Manager or Dispensary Co-ordinator at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
You will lead in providing excellent customer service, providing a caring helpful service to other members of staff, patients, and the general public.
You will be required to support the Specialist Bristol Eye Hospital clinic top-ups and routine ward top-ups.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Completed the NVQ Level 2 Pharmacy Services, or currently enrolled on an approved Pharmacy Technician Apprenticeship Course, minimum units to include: Unit 206 - Assemble prescribed items. Unit 312 - Maintain Pharmaceutical stock Unit 314 - Undertake an in-process accuracy check of assembled items prescribed prior to the final accuracy check.
* 5 GCSE Level C equivalent passes including Maths and English.

* Minimum 1 year previous hospital experience.
* Previous experience working in customer services.
