Teaching is central to CUH’s purpose, and we are looking for an experienced Educator to join our Transplant Unit (G5 and F5HDU). You will lead on education and training of all members of staff on G5 and F5HDU Transplant. You will work in collaboration with the ward manager and the lead nurse for transplant specialist nurses to broaden and deepen the skills and knowledge of our learners. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to lead on Transplant education to deliver and evaluate high quality education both in the classroom and clinical area.
As part of the wider MDT, you will be pivotal in supporting all learners to develop their careers, expand their knowledge and skills through education and training. You will work in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure delivery of education aligns to the Trust strategy and the Heath Education England Quality Framework. Working in collaboration with the ward manager you will provide assurance to the Senior Management Team that educational governance and quality are a priority.
The Cambridge Transplant Centre at Addenbrooke's Hospital is internationally acclaimed for its comprehensive adult solid organ abdominal transplant programme. Main duties of the job
Lead for education and training in Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for The Cambridge Transplant Centre F5HDU/G5.
Lead and facilitate the delivery of programmes ensuring they meet the Trust values and the requirements of statutory and professional standards.
Lead, plan, implement and evaluate education and training across the non-medical workforce.
Work collaboratively with relevant stakeholders managing inductions, mapping, and ensuring an individualised approach to enable learners to meet their role requirements.
Create practice-based opportunities for learning to reinforce the classroom-based theory so that leaners achieve the requirements to complete their programme of study
Prioritise the wellbeing of learners within CUHFT and oversee pastoral care to learners
