Are you compassionate, motivated and driven to truly make a difference? We are looking for a Specialist Support Care Manager to join our Specialist Residential team. This role is ideally suited to someone who is aiming to enhance their career in leadership and who has demonstrable experience in working with individuals who have intensive complex and high-risk behavioural needs.
Using positive interventions you will work within a bespoke care environment, enabling and supporting people who have a Learning Disability, Autism and challenging needs to have valued lives and work towards individual meaningful outcomes.

As Specialist Support Manager you will be fully supported in your role by a close-knit team who all share the same passion and values.
Role and Responsibilities:
1. You will report to the Registered Manager and will be supported by a Deputy Manager and Senior Support Workers.
2. You will play a vital role in delivering a high quality service and developing the staff team.
3. You will work closely with the in-house specialist support services team, which include qualified Learning Disability Nurses, PBS Practitioners, Active Support Facilitators and PBM trainers.
4. You will become part of our incredible team, helping to deliver emotional and practical care and support for vulnerable adults and transforming their lives on a daily basis.
5. You will be supporting the Registered Manager in the implementation of all policies, procedures, and business objectives.
6. You will help to ensure all records are maintained, monitored and evaluated to ensure effectiveness.
7. You will act as ambassador for the service by establishing and maintaining good relationships with all care teams, prospective supported people and colleagues.
8. You will liaise with the Registered Manager across the range of operational activities and assume responsibility for managing the service during the Registered Manager’s absence.
9. You will be responsible for providing quality care for vulnerable adults within a residential setting, you will ensure the highest quality of care is provided to the people supported through their person-centred care plans.
10. You will be responsible for monitoring standards of care delivered by qualified and unqualified care staff.
11. You will contribute fully to team collaborative working, responding positively to colleagues and action all reasonable work instructions promptly.
12. You will assist with the management and motivation of staff including training, development, supervision, appraisals and mentoring of staff in line with their role descriptions.
13. You will be involved in facilitating activities which are person-centred, which promote their dignity, independence and well-being.
14. You will need to be committed to providing an excellent level of care for vulnerable people with mental health, complex needs and learning disabilities.
What we’re looking for in a Specialist Support Manager:
15. You will need at least QCF level 3 in health and social care, or equivalent and be working towards level4/5.
16. You will have experience of the care sector, the regulatory framework, service delivery with excellent working knowledge of the essential standards and statutory inspections in social care.
17. You will be a passionate individual, who has experience of working with individuals who have a learning disability, Autism and challenging behaviour.
18. You are required to be computer literate with experience of Microsoft packages, have strong relationship building skills and customer service skills.
19. You will have the desire and passion to support individuals to achieve their aspirations and personal goals.
20. You will need experience of developing strong relationships with service users, family members, health professionals, local authorities, including GPs and social workers.
21. You will need to demonstrate a commitment to enabling people to live fulfilled and independent lives both within their homes and the wider community.
22. You will need to be able to provide the Support Workers with the direction, leadership, guidance and support they need to ensure the people supported they are assigned to receive person centred care in line with their individual needs.
23. You will need to demonstrate a high level of personal integrity towards providing an exceptional standard of service.

About the Service
Our Specialist Residential Support Services have been established to meet the needs of those who can present with the most complex challenges, including individuals with needs relating to Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health. These unique services have been specifically designed to enable individuals to have their own robust individual living space, whilst also offering opportunities to develop tolerance and coping skills at their own pace, through the careful planned use of communal living areas. The accommodation and support is bespoke and adaptable to the complex and changing needs of the individuals requiring support.
