This role is essential for providing a content-focused view & input on the marketing strategy of our clients. It connects strategic content development, high-quality content creation, and an expert review of outsourced content to ensure that the overall creative element is executed well and consistently, delivering impact for our clients.

Minimum Requirements:
* Exceptional writing and editing skills in English. The ability to teach content skills and lead in this field.
* Five or more years of experience (academic and professional) of content writing.
* Excellent writing and communication skills. A strong portfolio of content work, and experience working with content for accountants (our ideal audience).
* Excellent communication and presentation skills. Confidently client-facing; approachable and positive.
* Organisational and time-management skills for meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Ability to see the bigger picture when delivering projects; managing the process from start to finish.
* An understanding of the latest trends, particularly including AI, and their role within a commercial environment. An expertise within the field that is developed continuously.
* Identification of additional support from AI tools to enhance speed, accuracy, and deliverables.

Responsible for: Ensuring content is delivered satisfactorily, and connected to the client’s marketing and creative strategies.
Consult: Brand Strategist, Strategist team.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
* Work on a wide range of projects and media, using various writing styles, to write content that reflects the client’s goals. When necessary, managing projects from start to finish understanding the implications of budget, resource and time management.
* Ensure that copy meets organisational standards and brand expectations, expresses ideas accurately, and represents the company or client appropriately. Also, develop these organisational standards so that they are forward-thinking and improve the output of our projects.
* Work independently as well as cooperatively with the remainder of the team and outsourcers to meet deadlines and stay within budget on simultaneous projects. Continuously review the efficiency and profitability of these systems, and provide data as required.
* Proactively examine existing processes, identify flaws, and create solutions that improve content capabilities. Research, test and implement new processes where relevant.
Oversight of outsourcers & partners:
* Lead the content aspect of all marketing delivery.
* Allocate tasks in accordance with the appropriate skills.
* Identify any skill deficits and take action accordingly (ie change to a different provider or make adjustments).
* Provide insights and recommendations on outsourcers & partners based on test projects or project outcomes.
Operations & process:
* Redefine and follow the new PF content way.
* Review & confirm the ‘PF way’ for content systems, processes and administration as it best suits the new structure.
* Autonomy to create and update processes to improve efficiency.
* Collaborate on necessary changes with the whole team.
* Manage the content writing, and uploading process for all project materials.
* Have an oversight of team capacity, allocate work accordingly and track diligently.
* Be responsible for content-related KPI’s. Be ready to discuss and make changes with decisiveness.
* Ensure profitability of content-related work.
* Work together with the Project Manager to ensure profitable, efficient deliverables for brand and website projects (as well as ongoing/retainer projects involving content).
Professional development:
* Provide training sessions & one to one support in content and messaging related areas for the team.
* Use trend intelligence and knowledge of historical and current markets when designing and executing specific projects.
* Ensure the most current, innovative and profitable technology is used, including AI, to support an efficient and profitable process for content.
Sales:
* Identifying new sales opportunities relating to content work.
* Work with the strategists and sales director to identify what’s missing for our clients / what we could provide.
* Highlight patterns, solutions and new product ideas. Experiment with these, taking responsibility for your time and profitability.
* Share proposed ideas & success or fails and next steps regularly with the team.
Marketing:
* Conceptualise & create marketing resources.
* Plan and create innovative marketing resources, particularly related to content and messaging (although other areas are welcome).
* At times, support other team members in their marketing endeavours. For example, if they are completing marketing resources and need support with content writing.
* Become a key person of influence for the company by posting regularly on LinkedIn or Instagram (or both) – content and video. Work in connection with the sales director to ensure consistency across the team.
Quality control:
* Ensure high quality work & client satisfaction.
* Liaise with clients and strategists to determine client requirements, timescale and budget. Translate strategic direction into high-quality content within the existing or defined brand identity.
* Proofread content, create systems to ensure high quality work is presented to clients and, at times, train and support the team to improve work quality.
* Work with clients and strategists to produce final pieces and amend content after feedback. Provide constructive feedback to the team regarding the alignment of content and design work.
* Conduct simple keyword research and use SEO guidelines to increase web traffic. Support team members to do the same and at times, work collaboratively with SEO experts to complete this.

PF marketing events: Attend marketing events, represent PF in a positive way. Lead events in the form of talks & presentations as required.
Location
This is a remote role, so you can work from locations to suit you, as long as you have solid internet access and can jump on Slack or Zoom video calls at any time.
You will be expected to travel primarily within your region but also globally (which would be discussed ahead of time) to meet with clients, team members and to attend workshops and events.
You’ll also attend hybrid and regional team retreats as scheduled.
Salary & bonuses
The salary for this role is £50k. We pay all-team bonuses when company-wide profit targets are reached.
