Experis have partnered with a brilliant client in the South West looking to recruit a Business Analyst to join their team with a focus on BI and MI projects. This role will be instrumental in driving data-driven decision-making across our client through analyzing, developing and delivering actionable insights. As a key link between stakeholders and technical teams, you will work to understand business needs, translate requirements, and contribute to the strategic development of BI and MI capabilities. This is an initial 6 month contract Inside of IR35. There will be scope for a few extensions. You will be required to travel on-site one day per month. Key Responsibilities: Engage with stakeholders across departments to understand and document business requirements for BI and MI projects. Work closely with data and BI teams to ensure alignment of solutions with business objectives. Collaborate in the design, development, and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and data visualizations that provide actionable insights. Participate in data modelling, KPI design, and metrics standardization across projects to ensure consistency in BI/MI outputs. Act as a liaison between business units, technical teams, and third-party vendors, facilitating seamless communication and understanding of project goals. Prepare and present findings, insights, and recommendations to stakeholders, using data visualization tools to highlight key metrics and trends. Work with data governance teams to define and maintain data standards and ensure adherence to data quality policies. Key Experience Required: Experience as a Business Analyst, specifically on BI and MI projects. Demonstrated experience with BI tools. Strong proficiency in data visualization, KPI development, and dashboard creation. Knowledge of data modelling, ETL processes, and experience in working with relational databases. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex information for a non-technical audience. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking and attention to detail. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
