Here at DNV, what we do matters. Whether it’s helping the Energy Industry transition to a more decarbonised and sustainable future or helping safeguard life, property and the environment, every day, what you do will make a difference. This is our shared purpose and one our people are proud to be part of.
DNV’s Markets & Risk department combines multidisciplinary experts from oil & gas, power and renewable energy backgrounds to support businesses through their Energy Transition journey. Within this, our Sustainability & Asset Resilience section consists of around 30 specialists working in areas such as data analytics, functional safety, management of rotating machinery and emissions monitoring.
Our Opportunity:
This role provides a fantastic opportunity to join our diverse and growing team of specialists. Our dedicated Rotating Machinery Solutions (RMS) team provides products and services to support our customers in the operation and protection of their rotating assets. RMS deliverables include Rotating Machinery Fault Diagnostics, Performance Testing, Emissions monitoring, and compliance reporting, Vibration monitoring, protection and condition monitoring solutions. Typical equipment the team specialise in are Gas Turbines, Compressors, Pumps, Steam Turbines for Oil and Gas and Power Generation applications.
Based in our offices in Stockport, you’ll be given real work from day one, working on a variety of client projects, gaining experience of machinery condition monitoring, emissions reporting, reliability tracking and developing your understanding of our customers and their challenges as they seek to make the industry safer and more sustainable.
As part of our team, you will support the delivery of condition monitoring and healthcare contracts and the support of the DNV systems (remote monitoring, computer-based systems gathering on-line data from machinery control systems and “data historians”). This data is used by our engineers to troubleshoot problems and report equipment emissions. We have several ongoing, long-term contracts which we report government permit emissions and equipment performance KPI’s. Short durations on site carrying out testing, installation and commissioning of emission monitoring systems within the UK is envisaged.
You’ll be stretched, but always supported, and with over 140 colleagues in our UK Markets & Risk team alone, you’ll be surrounded by people who want you to thrive and embrace new challenges, recognising your hard work and looking out for your wellbeing.
Upon joining, you’ll receive a buddy to help you settle in, a mentor to enhance your technical knowledge, as well as ongoing on-the-job coaching and support from your colleagues as you develop your technical, project management and customer interaction skills and work towards chartership.
While we also support flexible and hybrid/home working arrangements where possible, in order to accelerate your development within your role, you will be in our Stockport offices ideally for three days a week, collaborating on projects and learning from others.
We value all our people and the contributions they make to our business, so it’s important that our rewards make us all feel valued here. That’s why we offer a flexible reward and benefits package, allowing you to choose the things that matter most to you, including:
