The post holder will be responsible, with the existing Consultant Neurologists, for neurological inpatients and outpatients at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and for supervision at UHSx of ESHT patients referred for tertiary investigations and management. The post holder will carry out five to six general Neurology outpatient clinics at ESHT. provide inpatient neurology cover to facilitate discharges and reduce length of stay of Neurology patients.
The post holder will participate in the Neurology department’s regular ward referral service. The post holder will contribute towards general professional training of the junior medical staff and contribute to the training of nurses and other staff, and participating in the activities of the Post Graduate Medical Centre including medical audit, both at ESHT and UHSx.
