Job Description: Real Estate & Infrastructure Operations Team Member
As a member of the Real Estate & Infrastructure Operations team, you will play a key role in the financial accounting, statutory accounting, administration, and management reporting functions for your allocated fund(s). You will also support other funds within the Client Accounting Team.
This role involves multiple interactions with clients, external parties (such as fund administrators and auditors), and internal teams, including significant engagement with the Real Estate Investments team.
Reporting Line
Responsible to: Client Accounting Manager, Real Estate and Infrastructure Operations
Key Responsibilities
1. Prepare monthly Management Accounts, including analysis and reconciliation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement General Ledger items, and complete Net Asset Value computations for investor communication.
2. Produce monthly Management Information, including Liquidity Forecasts.
3. Coordinate and control quarterly investor/client communication, ensuring completion within specified timescales.
4. Provide tax information to relevant tax specialists and calculate tax accruals.
5. Complete the computation and reconciliation of quarterly VAT Returns and online submission, including payment to HMRC where applicable.
6. Analyze loan covenant compliance and report to lenders where applicable.
7. Assist in preparing annual statutory Financial Statements, liaising with internal and external auditors to ensure timely audits and distribution of financial statements.
8. Support the review and implementation of the Real Estate acquisition and disposals pipeline.
9. Ensure ongoing compliance with accounting standards and operational controls.
10. Perform any other duties deemed necessary from time to time.
Qualifications and Experience
* Part Qualified Accountant – ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
* Management Accounting experience
* Experience working with colleagues at all levels and clear communication skills
* Solid financial accounting skills, including variance analysis and interpretation
* Self-motivated, deadline-driven, and able to work independently
* Client-focused with proven experience
* Fully Qualified Accountant – ACCA, CIMA, or ACA
* Experience in a Financial Services environment
* Fund Accounting/Property Fund Accounting experience
