Leap29 are recruiting for two skilled engineers with excellent design experience to join our clients growing team in Liverpool:
* Solar PV Specialist – Concentrated on optimizing yield and enhancing system performance.
* Generalist Renewable Energy Engineer – Overseeing tender processes, Owner’s Engineer (OE), Due Diligence (DD), and Lender’s Technical Advisor (LTA) activities.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop technical designs from concept through to detailed engineering using industry-standard software, aligned with project development phases.
* Optimize system layouts and energy yields through comprehensive constraint analysis.
* Ensure all designs adhere to industry codes, regulations, and best practices, integrating input from cross-functional teams.
* Contribute to the preparation of both pre-construction and post-construction documentation.
* Lead or support technical due diligence, acting as the liaison with Lenders’ Technical Advisors (LTAs).
* Take a lead role in preparing and evaluating tenders and RFQs.
* Define, track, and review contract technical requirements (e.g., PAC process), ensuring compliance and resolving any technical issues.
* Conduct site inspections to verify that installations and tests align with designs, procedures, and standards.
* Manage grid connection applications and approvals.
* Provide technical input and support during Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT).
* Oversee and assess pre-construction technical surveys.
* Build and maintain relationships with Owners' Engineers and Independent Connection Providers (ICPs).
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a related discipline.
* Demonstrated experience in delivering utility-scale solar power projects.
* Proficiency in solar PV design tools such as PVsyst, AutoCAD, or PVCase.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on system optimization.
