Known for its expertise in advanced manufacturing techniques, including ultrasonic welding, the company also provides rapid-response support for on-site breakdowns, commissioning, and production modifications. Role Overview The Mechanical Fitter will be responsible for mechanical assembly and precision machining in a full-time, on-site role based in Essex. The position requires hands-on experience in manufacturing environments and a strong understanding of mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities: Perform mechanical assembly of machines and fixtures. Utilize manual machining tools and processes. Read and interpret CAD drawings for assembly and modifications. Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of mechanical components. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to ensure quality and efficiency. Assist with commissioning, modifications, and on-site support as required. Required Skills & Experience: Proficiency in manual machining and mechanical assembly. A background as a time-served toolmaker is advantageous. Strong understanding of maintenance best practices. Ability to read and work from CAD drawings. Excellent problem-solving skills. Experience with automated machine systems is a plus. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
