Main Duties of the Job
As our Scrub Practitioners/ODP, you'll be a vital part of a professional, friendly, and compassionate team supported by our experienced Theatre Manager.
Our focus at all times is on ensuring that our patients receive high-quality expert treatment quickly, in clean and comfortable surroundings, and you'll do everything you can to ensure the patient's treatment is of the highest evidence-based standard.
You will act as an advocate for the patient in the intra-operative phase and be responsible for total patient care in the perioperative phase. Participation in ordering, audit, and review processes within the department will form an integral part of your role to ensure optimal patient care and best practice.
About Us
A Registered NMC Nurse with experience of being a scrub practitioner in a theatre, or an HCPC registered Operating Department Practitioner, with:
* Knowledge and experience of working with an orthopaedic, general, and/or ophthalmology team will be key in this role.
* Fully up to date with current research and developments in theatre practice.
* Sound knowledge of Health and Safety/Risk management within the operating department.
What You Can Expect in Return
* Salary of up to £39,357 per annum.
* Working 3 x 9.5 hour, 1 x 9 hours day between Monday and Saturday.
* No on-call, no night work, or working on Sundays or bank holidays.
