Join our team to help build a better, more sustainable world for future generations The opportunity The role offers the chance to work in a collaborative environment, interfacing with external contractors and various support functions such as Project Management and Engineering to drive the success of the Fabrications Team at the Larne Facility. The Production Manager will manage a team consisting of team leaders, semi-skilled and skilled personnel to coordinate activities, prepare schedules, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards at the Larne Facility. What you will do: - Create reports and records of production processes, tools issues performance, and inventory; sharing them with managers and providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality. - Prepare, maintain, and update documentation related to operating procedures and safety and quality standards; ensuring all processes and products meet desired safety and quality standards. - Supervise and direct the daily activities of production lines workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance. - Train new hires, managing scheduling and work conflicts, monitoring safety, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement. What you will have: Quality Management - Level Extensive Experience: - Adheres to organizational quality management processes and practices. - Applies key aspects of continuous improvement processes and evaluates impact on quality. - Works with quality assurance methods, tools and techniques. - Develops programs for motivating employees to meet or exceed quality goals. Planning and Organizing - Level Working Knowledge: - Identifies the critical goals and tasks required to meet daily objectives and tracks the implementation of tasks closely to ensure that desired outcomes are achieved. - Escalates concerns over competing or conflicting priorities. - Monitors progress continuously and adjusts tactics for handling situations on a case by case basis. Talent Management - Level Working Knowledge: - Resolves conflicts in a wide variety of situations, such as workload allocation, schedule overlap etc. - Adjusts management and personal style to fit the needs of different people and different situations. - Plans resources for the department and discusses processes in talent management. Manufacturing Operations - Level Extensive Experience: - Facilitates communications across departments to ensure a smooth workflow in the plant or facility. - Evaluates the risks and safety hazards present in manufacturing operations. - Supervises daily operations to ensure production targets and forecasts are achieved. - Employs tools and techniques for anticipating demand and assuring capacity. Manufacturing Safety - Level Extensive Experience: - Assesses and reports unusual or new safety hazards or violations; initiates corrective action. - Performs safety inspections to assure compliance with local H&S requirements. - Promotes workplace safety among supervisors and workers; communicates safety rules and regulations. - Ensures that all employees and contractors comply with relevant safety policies and regulations. Top Candidate will also have: - Engineering degree or equivalent experience - SAP (ERP) functional knowledge - Experience of Leading / Managing 35 employees - Lean Manufacturing Experience Additional information: - This position is currently an in-office work model, requiring a weekly office presence at our Larne site. However, work arrangements may be adjusted at any time based on business needs.
