An established Corporate International Bank is seeking a Customer Due Diligence (CDD) Analyst to join its London team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to the bank’s risk management framework and ensure regulatory compliance in a dynamic financial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct comprehensive due diligence on new and existing Financial Institutions, Non-Banking Financial Institutions in accordance with regulatory requirements.
* Collect and verify client documentation, including identification, business operations, source of wealth, and source of funds.
* Perform Politically Exposed Persons (PEP) screenings, sanctions checks, and adverse media searches, documenting findings and making recommendations for escalation where necessary.
* Draft and send Requests for Information (RFIs) to clients, ensuring all necessary details are obtained.
* Conduct risk assessments to identify potential money laundering, terrorist financing, and other financial crime risks.
* Escalate high-risk clients or suspicious activities to the Financial Crime Compliance (FCC) team and provide detailed reports for further investigation.
* Maintain and update client records to reflect any new information or changes identified during due diligence processes.
* Engage with clients to obtain necessary information and resolve any compliance-related queries.
* Manage and track ongoing due diligence cases, ensuring timely completion and resolution.
Skills & Experience Required:
* Minimum 5 years experience within a KYC or CDD role.
* Proven expertise in corporate onboarding and due diligence processes.
* Strong knowledge of Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Know Your Customer (KYC), and other regulatory requirements.
* Experience conducting KYC checks on Middle Eastern clients
* Proficiency in compliance-related tools and software for due diligence and monitoring.
* Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage effectively with clients and internal stakeholders.
