In this newly created post as a Disabled Facilities Grants Officer you will lead on Disabled Facilities Grants, working closely with the Promoting Independent Living service and the Home Improvement Agency to deliver aids and adaptations to people’s homes. The successful applicant will be responsible for assessing and approving grant applications, liaising with customers, contractors and the Home Improvement Agency to deliver adaptations and grant works to people’s homes across both the Malvern Hills and Wychavon districts.To be successful, we are looking for a dynamic and organised individual with at least 3 years’ experience in a technical enforcement or housing related post, experience of managing projects and working with partner agencies and delivery of agreed objectives, meeting targets and working to tight deadlines and having previously worked or have knowledge of Disabled Facilities Grants or equivalent grants.You will also need to be able to travel throughout the districts so flexibility, a full driving licence and use of a car is essential.About you The successful candidate will:Hold a degree in a housing/construction related field and experience in using HHSRS Have at least 3 years’ experience in a technical enforcement or housing related post.Have experience of managing projects and working with partner agencies and delivery of agreed objectives, meeting targets and working to tight deadlinesBe IT literate with good literacy and numeracy skills as well as good communications skills.
