JMC Aviation are working with an MRO company based in Birmingham, looking to recruit a new Supply Chain Deputy Tooling Manager to join their team. This client is a leading MRO dealing with line and base maintenance as well as interior modifications and fuel systems repair and maintenance for both commercial and military aircraft. Salary and Benefits Competitive salary 25 days annual leave entitlement bank holidays 4x Life assurance Employer pension contribution Sick pay Service awards from 2 years The Role The Deputy Tooling Manager directly supports the Tooling Manager, with responsibilities for the reporting and adherence to policy and management of tools within all sites in operation. This role works closely with logistics, procurement the operational delivery to ensure that all tools are safe, functional and compliant This is one of the few posts with a remit to operate across all logistic sites including line maintenance operations. Other Duties Involve Assist in managing the tooling data held on PROMRO Record all requests and conduct appropriate work to provide solutions. Manage data in adherence to supply chain KPI and associated performance measures. Facilitate the company’s ability to identify the correct tool stock levels held at each location. Conduct regular process improvement reviews. Lead on local weekly tooling management checks across all sites and implement corrective action where necessary. Initiate and conduct regular line maintenance tooling assurance inspections, report findings to head of logistics and communicate across all sites. Accompany external audit and assurance inspections in order to initiate any corrective actions at the earliest opportunity. Produce regular tooling reports that show the status of all tools including certification due. Control BaU tooling management. Provide reporting information within Supply Chain to drive improvements in tool management and reduced costs. Liaise with Check managers to ensure tooling requirements are accurately captured and actioned in a timely manner. Collate quotes for loan tool requirements ensuring value and best solutions where applicable. Lead on the management of tools currently loaned out ensuring they are returned on schedule. In order to be successful in this role the Supply Chain Deputy Tooling Manager will need to demonstrate the following skills and attributes Experience in Supply Chain operations An understanding of process development within the Supply Chain sector An understanding of calibration management principles and processes Demonstrable experience of working in a commercial environment Knowledge of aviation logistics and its key principles. Knowledge of key Microsoft business packages including Excel, Word and PowerPoint An understanding and experience in using PROMRO.
